A bit about the role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our early- stage team. As a QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of kOS. You will collaborate closely with our tech and product teams to develop and execute test plans, identify and report defects, and ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
Detailed roles and responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate functionality, performance, and
usability. - Collaborate with product and tech teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
- Perform manual and automated testing, leveraging industry-standard tools and methodologies to maximize test coverage and efficiency.
- Identify, prioritize, and track defects using issue tracking systems, and work closely with tech teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Conduct regression testing to validate changes and updates, ensuring backward compatibility and system stability.
- Participate in product design and code reviews to provide input on testability, usability, and quality
considerations. - Continuously monitor and improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and
effectiveness. - Collaborate with Customer Success teams to investigate and troubleshoot reported issues, providing timely resolutions and communication to clients.
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in software quality assurance.
- Set-in-place foundational processes that will allow keeplearning to scale as an organization
The profile of an ideal candidate
- Self-motivated and proactive attitude with a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience (4+ years) in quality assurance, preferably within the SaaS industry.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in manual and automated testing techniques and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Experience with testing web-based applications, APIs, and databases.
- Experience with Load Testing framework like JMeter or Locust
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Experience with performance testing and security testing is a plus.
